  • Resource Centre is reopening MONDAY 11th JANUARY 2021

    The Resource Centre is reopening at 10am on MONDAY 11th JANUARY, and resuming the normal weekly opening hours.

    There is no need to book a computer but please follow the instructions below.

    •             Sign in with your membership card.

    •             Use the hand sanitiser provided.

    •             Please wear a mask at all times.

    •             Maintain social distancing.

    •             Clean touched surfaces, especially computer keyboards.

    Council does not know how many members will wish to visit the Centre or what restrictions may be placed on our operation by the Government as time progresses.  In view of this, we aim to operate as normally as possible with the addition of mandatory mask-wearing inside at all times, social distancing and hand sanitising according to the COVID-19 protocols.

  • NEW! Deceased Online now available

    Deceased Online is now available at the Resource Centre providing access to Cemetery records across the United Kingdom.
    You can search Cemetery registers by name, country, county, region, burial authority or crematorium and gain access to -
     Computerised cremation and burial records
     Digital scans of cremation and burial registers
     Photographs of graves and memorials
     Cemetery maps showing grave locations
     Other occupants in the same grave
    There are currently 163 cemeteries and crematoria included in their database with more being added regularly. The bulk of the records included date from the Cemeteries Act of 1857 to current day records; however there are cemeteries that include earlier dates.
