Topic: " The Changing Borders of Europe & why they are important for  Genealogical Research" Chris Elmore is a graduate of Monash and Melbourne Universities, with special studies in European history, book history and literary history. He is a member of various local and family historical societies, including the International Settlers’ Group. He has been a keen collector of family documents since 1986 and used them to write several family histories. He has made several trips overseas to research family connections and particularly enjoyed his time in Germany and Poland searching for his Wendish roots. He is a convert to computerised research techniques in genealogy but retains a love of printed books and old manuscripts.
